Hawzah News Agency- In a firm statement, Sheikh Rifai underlined that normalization represents an abandonment of national principles and resistance values, emphasizing that it is “a betrayal we will never accept under any circumstances.” He reaffirmed unwavering commitment to the path of resistance, declaring adherence to the pledge of the Secretary General of Hezbollah, the martyred Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and loyalty to his legacy.
“We remain faithful to his promise and carry forward his legacy,” Sheikh Rifai said. “We hold fast to the resistance and its weapons—this resistance that emerged from the hearts of the people in response to Western arrogance and Zionist-American crimes. Its legitimacy, decision-making, and will are rooted in the will of the Lebanese people, across all tribes, sects, and regions.”
He further warned advocates of normalization that such initiatives amount to surrender and submission, asserting that the Lebanese people will not relinquish the heritage of victory, honor, and dignity achieved through decades of struggle. “After inheriting a legacy of triumph and pride, we will not accept capitulation or compromise,” he added.
Sheikh Rifai also noted that he participated, alongside Mehdi Mustafa, head of the political relations portfolio at the Arab Democratic Party, in a rally organized by the Al-Nasr Movement in front of the shrine of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The gathering drew representatives from Lebanese, Palestinian, Islamic, Arab, and Nasserist parties and movements, reflecting broad-based support for the resistance axis.
During the rally, participants laid a wreath at the shrine, renewing their pledge to uphold the principles of resistance and to confront all attempts aimed at legitimizing the Israeli occupation through normalization. Speakers at the event reiterated that steadfastness and unity remain the strongest response to external pressure and political schemes targeting the region’s sovereignty and identity.
